Kid Icarus: Uprising Powers List

Here are a list of powers you can find in Kid Icarus: Uprising. While currently incomplete, the list will be updated on a semi-regular basis with different powers and levels that we get. If you have a power that we don’t have listed, please email us with the name, description, and shape on the power grid, or leave a comment in the comments section!

Powers in Both Solo and Together Modes

Sky Jump

  • Power Type: Movement
  • In-Game Description: Jump high in the air from where you’re standing.
  • Other Comments: This is the most basic Sky Jump with 10 uses. The higher the level used, the higher the jump will be.

Jump Glide

  • Power Type: Movement
  • In-Game Description: Jump high in the air, then perform a glide.
  • Other Comments: Jump height is the same as Sky Jump, but you fall much more slowly, allowing easier gliding to platforms and higher ground. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 4 uses, Lv. 3 has 6 uses, and Lv. 4 has 8 uses.

Rocket Jump

  • Power Type: Movement
  • In-Game Description: Launch yourself upwards with the force of a rocket.
  • Other Comments:Rocket Jump’s jump is also similar to that of Sky Jump, but there is an explosion upon activating the power that damages nearby enemies (30 damage for Lv. 1, 32 damage for Lv. 2, 34 damage for Lv. 3, 36 damage for Lv. 4). Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 4 uses, Lv. 3 has 6 uses, and Lv. 4 has 8 uses.

Angelic Missile

  • Power Type: Movement
  • In-Game Description: Transform into a missile that shoots in the the direction you’re facing.
  • Other Comments: You are knocked to the ground after performing this move but recover a second before enemies others you knocked over in Together mode. The Angelic Missile can deal a maximum of 80 damage at close range. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses, and Lv. 4 has 5 uses.

Super Speed

  • Power Type: Movement
  • In-Game Description: Run extremely fast and knock weakened foes into the air when you bump into them.
  • Other Comments: Colliding into foes will deal 20 damage to them, while sending them into the air. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses, and Lv. 4 has 5 uses.

Warp

  • Power Type: Movement
  • In-Game Description: Warp from your current position.
  • Other Comments: Warp randomly transports the user from their current position to a random respawn point in the map. The power level determines the number of uses: Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses, and Lv. 4 has 5 uses.

Mega Laser

  • Power Type: Special Attack
  • In-Game Description: Fire a massive laser.
  • Other Comments: The laser hits 24 times at 4 damage per hit, with the final hit dealing 8 damage. Therefore, an opponent trapped in the laser for the entire duration will take 100 damage. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses, and Lv. 4 has 5 uses.

Explosive Flame

  • Power Type: Special Attack
  • In-Game Description: Set off a massive explosion.
  • Other Comments: Explosive Flame’s power is stronger based on Level, with Lv. 1 dealing 2.4 damage per hit, Lv. 2 dealing 2.8 damage, Lv. 3 dealing 3.2 damage, and Lv. 4 dealing 3.6 damage. The final hit of each Explosive Flame deals 10 damage, and will burn the opponent. Every level of Explosive Flame has 3 uses.

Meteor Shower

  • Power Type: Special Attack
  • In-Game Description: Release a deluge of shooting stars.
  • Other Comments: Meteor Shower hits 8 times, with each hit dealing 30 damage. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Land Mine

  • Power Type: Special Attack
  • In-Game Description: Plant an invisible bomb on the ground.
  • Other Comments: Land Mine plants a bomb in the ground that deals 60 damage when detonated. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 4 uses, Lv. 3 has 6 uses.

Reflect Barrier

  • Power Type: Special Attack
  • In-Game Description: Create a barrier that reflects shots.
  • Other Comments: Reflect Barrier forms a blue shield that bounces enemy fire back at the target, and deals damage based on the strength of the fired shot. Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, Lv. 3 has 3 uses, and Lv. 4 has 4 uses..

Heavenly Light

  • Power Type: Special Attack
  • In-Game Description: Unleash a light that hurts approaching enemies.
  • Other Comments: Heavenly Light surrounds the user, and will hit an opponent 20 times if they are in the range for the entire duration. The power deals damage based on the level used: Lv. 1 deals 3 damage per hit, Lv. 2 deals 3.6 damage per hit, Lv. 3 deals 4.2 damage per hit, and Lv. 4 deals 4.8 damage per hit. All levels of Heavenly Light have 2 uses.

Autoreticle

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Target enemies automatically when attacking.
  • Other Comments: Autoreticle automatically targets the opponent so you don’t have to aim, with an effect duration that increases in length the higher level of the power used. All levels of Autoreticle have 3 uses.

Quick Charge

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Charge up shots immediately.
  • Other Comments: Quick Charge makes shots charge up much faster, much like the Happy Trigger item does. The only difference in power levels is the number of uses: Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses, and Lv. 4 has 5 uses.

Homing Boost

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Improve the homing ability of shots.
  • Other Comments: This power gives your weapon a temporarily increase in Shot homing ability. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Slip Shot

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Fire shots that pass through walls.
  • Other Comments: Slip Shot, as its name implies, allows shots to fire opponents through walls, with the only difference in power level being the number of uses. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, and Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Invisible Shots

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Make the shots you fire invisible..
  • Other Comments: As the name implies, this power makes your shots invisible. Like Slip Shot, the power level determines the number of uses: Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, and Lv. 3 has 3 uses.

Random Effect

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Adds a random effect to attacks, such as poison, paralysis, shaking, freezing, etc.
  • Other Comments: Random Effects adds a random status effect to the user’s attacks, determined by roulette. The higher the power level, the more likely your attack will inflict the status effect. All levels of Random Effect have 3 uses.

Poison Attack

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Poisons foes with attacks.
  • Other Comments: Makes attacks more likely to poison the target, much like a Poison modifier on a weapon would. The higher the level, the greater the likelihood of poisoning the target. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, and Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Paralyze Attack

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Attacks inflict paralysis on a foe, which can stop its movement and make dodging harder.
  • Other Comments: Makes attacks more likely to paralyze the target, much like a Paralysis modifier on a weapon would. The higher the level, the greater the likelihood of paralyzing the target. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, and Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Petrify Attack

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Attacks inflict petrification on a foe, which makes it unable to move.
  • Other Comments: Makes attacks more likely to petrify the target, much like a Petrification modifier on a weapon would. The higher the level, the greater the likelihood of petrifying the target. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, and Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Confuse Attack

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Attacks inflict confused status on a foe, which makes it move and shoot unpredictably.
  • Other Comments: Makes attacks more likely to confuse the target, much like a Confusion modifier on a weapon would. The higher the level, the greater the likelihood of confusing the target. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, and Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Burn Attack

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Attacks inflict a burned status on a foe, which causes ongoing damage faster than poison.
  • Other Comments: Makes attacks more likely to burn the target, much like a Burning modifier on a weapon would. The higher the level, the greater the likelihood of burning the target. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, and Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Freeze Attack

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Attacks inflict a frozen status on a foe, which makes it unable to move.
  • Other Comments: Makes attacks more likely to freeze the target, much like a Freezing modifier on a weapon would. The higher the level, the greater the likelihood of freezing the target. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, and Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Energy Charge

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Build up energy and increase the power of your attacks. Taking damage nullifies this effect.
  • Other Comments: Energy Charge gradually makes attacks stronger, with a maximum damage output of 1.8 times a weapon’s normal attack damage. Energy Charge’s duration lasts until the user is hit, at which the effect dissipates. Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, Lv. 3 has 3 uses, and Lv. 4 has 4 uses.

Libra Sponge

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Use attacks received to increase the strength of your own attacks.
  • Other Comments: One of the Zodiac Powers, unlocked by entering the Libra Chamber in Chapter 14. The higher the power level, the more attack strength will be increased by attacks received. All Libra Sponge levels have 1 use.

Super Armor

  • Power Type: Ability Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Increase defensive strength and prevent getting knocked back when receiving damage.
  • Other Comments: Gives a temporary boost to Overall defense as well as Knockback defense, which is equal across all power levels. Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, Lv. 3 has 3 uses, and Lv. 4 has 4 uses.

Brief Invincibility

  • Power Type: Ability Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Completely protect yourself from enemy attacks.
  • Other Comments: This power gives about 5 sec. of total invincibility, regardless of power level. The power level determines the number of uses: Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Tirelessness

  • Power Type: Ability Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Run continuously without tiring.
  • Other Comments: Tirelessness lets your character run without having to stop (your character doesn’t get tired). The power works for about 30 seconds, regardless of power level. Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, Lv. 3 has 3 uses.

Lightweight

  • Power Type: Ability Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Increase movement speed and prevent tiring out in exchange for taking more damage when hit.
  • Other Comments: Lightweight greatly increases the user’s speed and stamina while lowering overall defense. The higher the power level, the greater the effect duration: Lv. 1 works for about 25 seconds, Lv. 2 works for about 30 seconds, Lv. 3 works for about 35 seconds, and Lv. 4 works for about 40 seconds. All of the Lightweight powers have 2 uses.

Trade-off

  • Power Type: Ability Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Use nearly all health to increase all atrributes. The duration depends on how much health you have.
  • Other Comments: Trade-off depletes the user of nearly all health (putting them into Crisis mode), but increases attack strength in the following fashion: Lv. 1 multiplies attack damage by x2, Lv. 2 multiplies attack damage by x2.05, Lv. 3 multiplies attack damage by x2.10, and Lv. 4 multiplies attack damage by x2.15. As stated in-game, the duration changes based on the amount of health remaining. All Trade-off levels have 1 use.

Aries Armor

  • Power Type: Ability Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Reduce damage received, and prevent status effects and getting knocked back.
  • Other Comments: One of the Zodiac Powers, unlocked by entering the Aries Chamber in Chapter 20. Aries Armor is a lot like Super Armor, but has the additional effect of granting the user resistance to status effects. The higher the power level, the greater the defensive increase. All Aries Armor levels have 2 uses.

Bumblebee

  • Power Type: Special Effect
  • In-Game Description: Dodge all attacks by vanishing and circling around the enemy in an instant.
  • Other Comments: Bumblebee makes the user disappear when attacks, and then the user quickly circles around the enemy, making it easier to counterattack. Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, and Lv. 3 has 3 uses.

Counter

  • Power Type: Special Effect
  • In-Game Description: Avoid getting knocked back and automatically counter attack when hit by enemy attacks.
  • Other Comments: Counter prevents knockback and automatically counters when attacked. It’s a lot like Bumblebee without the disappearing and movement. All levels are the same effect-wise, except for the number of uses: Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, and Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

Transparency

  • Power Type: Special Effect
  • In-Game Description: Turn transparent, making you invisible to enemies.
  • Other Comments: Transparency turns you invisible, but keep in mind you can still get hit while in this phase (enemies just won’t be able to see you). This power’s duration is about 5 seconds for each level, and the only difference in power level is the number of uses: Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses, and Lv. 4 has 5 uses.

Playing Dead

  • Power Type: Special Effect
  • In-Game Description: Fool enemies into thinking you’re finished, then turn invisible, making attacks pass through you.
  • Other Comments: Playing Dead makes it look like the opponent has defeated you (by showing the character death animation), and then turns you invisible. The length of time you’re invisible depends on the power level, with Lv. 1 keeping the character invisible for about 8 seconds, Lv. 2 keeping the character invisible for about 12 seconds, and Lv. 3 keeping the character invisible for about 15 seconds. All Playing Dead power levels have 2 uses.

Health Recovery

  • Power Type: Recovery Power
  • In-Game Description: Recover a little health.
  • Other Comments: Health Recovery recovers a small amount of health, with the amount of health dependent on the power level used. All Health Recovery powers have 3 uses.

Effect Recovery

  • Power Type: Recovery Power
  • In-Game Description: Dispel effects like poison or paralysis.
  • Other Comments: Effect Recovery cures status effects immediately upon use. The greater the power level, the more uses: Lv. 1 has 3 uses, Lv. 2 has 4 uses, and Lv. 3 has 5 uses.

Pisces Heal

  • Power Type: Recovery Power
  • In-Game Description: Heal by taking attacks that would normally finish you.
  • Other Comments: On of the Zodiac Powers, unlocked by entering the Pisces Chamber in Chapter 24. Pisces Heal recovers a significant amount of health when hit by an opposing attack that would normally defeat you. The higher the power level, the more health restored. All Pisces Heal powers have 1 use.

Throwing Boost

  • Power Type: Item Effect
  • In-Game Description: Increase the homing ability and distance of thrown items.
  • Other Comments: Like the in-game description provides, the user will be able to throw items (e.g. Smart Bombs, Grenades, etc.) farther with increased homing ability. The number of uses is dependent on power level: Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, and Lv. 3 has 3 uses.

Double Item

  • Power Type: Item Effect
  • In-Game Description: Double the effects of items acquired.
  • Other Comments: Double Item doubles the effects of all items acquired, so, for example, if you pick up a Grenade, you can use two, Food restores twice as much health, etc. The power level once again determines the number of uses: Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, Lv. 3 has 3 uses, and Lv. 4 has 4 uses.

Fortune’s Jukebox

  • Power Type: Miscellaneous
  • In-Game Description: Change the game music randomly.
  • Other Comments: Changes the game’s music to a random tune. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 4 uses.

Celestial Firework

  • Power Type: Miscellaneous
  • In-Game Description: Celebrate Lady Palutena by launching a firework into the air..
  • Other Comments: The user shoots off a firework that deals 10 damage to nearby enemies, while sometimes yelling “Lady Palutena!”. Lv. 1 has 5 uses, Lv. 2 has 10 uses.

Random

  • Power Type: Miscellaneous
  • In-Game Description: Activate a random power. You won’t know which one it will be until you use it.
  • Other Comments: As the name implies, Random activates a random power of any level. The number of uses is dependent on power level: Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 4 uses, Lv. 6 has 6 uses, and Lv. 4 has 8 uses.

Powers Only in Solo Mode

Idol Transformation

  • Power Type: Special Attack
  • In-Game Description: Turn enemies with low health into Idols. (Solo mode only; Intensity 2.0 or higher.)
  • Other Comments: Idol Transformation turns enemies with low health into Idols, provided you’re on at least Intensity 2.0. Idol Transformation only has one level, Lv. 1, which has 10 uses.

Weak-Point Reticle

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Target enemies’ weak points automatically when attacking.
  • Other Comments: Weak-Point Reticle works a lot like Autoreticle, only it targets weak points instead of the enemy in general. Power level affects effect duration: Lv. 1 lasts for about 20 seconds, Lv. 2 lasts for about 30 seconds, and Lv. 3 lasts for about 35 seconds. All Weak-Point Reticle powers have 2 uses.

Instant Death Attack

  • Power Type: Attack Enhance
  • In-Game Description: Attacks have a chance of killing a foe instantly.
  • Other Comments: Instant Death Attack has a chance of killing an enemy instantly, though it’s notable that the chances for instant death are lower than chances for other status-causing effect powers. Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, and Lv. 3 has 3 uses.

Heart Booster

  • Power Type: Special Effect
  • In-Game Description: Increase the number of hearts received when you defeat enemies.
  • Other Comments: Heart Booster increases the amount of hearts gained with a x3.3 modifier. That is, you will receive slightly more than 3 times as many hearts for defeating an enemy (this is similar to a Heart bonus modifier on a weapon). The greater the power level, the greater number of uses: Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, Lv. 3 has 4 uses, and Lv. 4 has 5 uses.

Crisis Recovery

  • Power Type: Recovery Power
  • In-Game Description: Recover instantly from Crisis mode.
  • Other Comments: As previously stated, this power recovers you instantly from Crisis mode (having no lifebar), and allows you to heal normally again. The power’s level once again determines the number of uses: Lv. 1 has 1 use, Lv. 2 has 2 uses, and Lv. 3 has 3 uses.

Black Hole

  • Power Type: Special Attack
  • In-Game Description: Create a black hole that pulls enemies toward it.

Power Thief

  • Other Comments: Power Thief only works with melee attacks, and the power stolen is random (though sometimes you’ll get the power your opponent is currently using.) The greater the power level, the greater chance for stealing an opponent’s power. All Power Thief levels have 2 uses.

  • In-Game Description: Turns foes blind.

Interference

  • Power Type: Inflict Effect
  • In-Game Description: Plant a beacon that disrupts enemies’ ability to trigger powers and see your stats.
  • Other Comments: Creates a ranged effect that blocks the use of enemy powers. Opponents cannot see their health bar, player names, or any active powers, either. Lv. 1 has 2 uses, Lv. 2 has 3 uses, and Lv. 3 has 4 uses.

  • In-Game Description: Weaken and paralyze nearby foes.

Spite

  • In-Game Description: Convert all remaining health into a powerful explosion.

  • In-Game Description: Draw items toward you.

      • OK, here’s a document that has all the Powers I can provide. Also, in case you didn’t know, the Powers IDOL TRANSFORMATION and CELESTIAL FIREWORK each provide brief Invincibility Frames – if you get the timing right, you can block an attack by quickly executing it.
