Dark Pit Staff — Value 254

This is, to be short, fantastic. Ranged 5 is perfect on a Dark Pit Staff, and both Shot range +2 and Shot homing +2 work perfectly on a powerful Ranged weapon such as a Staff. This one is DEFINITELY usable on its own! If you’re interested, it costs 21,300 hearts to convert into a Gem. If not, you could always fuse it, or grind it up for 182 hearts.

So…since apparently Nintendo is pushing out Daily Weapon Gems past their self-imposed March 31 deadline, be sure to check back, because I’ll post them!

Meteor Bow — Value 238
Ranged 3, Melee 1
Knockback defense +3, Burning +2, Standing cont. fire +3, Item attack +1

I’m not going to lie, I’m a little disappointed that this isn’t some kind of Value 350 uber-weapon. Anyway, Ranged 3 works nicely on a mid-200s Bow, and also works well with Standing cont. fire +3, although Standing shot modifiers are pretty weak in general. Knockback defense +3 and Burning +2 are also both very solid modifiers, and Item attack +1 is pretty rare, and decent if you like using many items. It costs 15,500 hearts to convert this Meteor Bow into a weapon, or it can be ground up for 149 hearts.

Also, in a short bit of site news: since Daily Weapon Gems were the primary updates for this site, things are going to slow down around here immensely. While I’ll still pop in from time to time (and maybe do an article or two!), my time on Orbitars is going to be limited until the summer, where I’ll still run an Orbitars League or a few tournaments if there’s enough interest. Wolf Claws — Value 227

Shaking +1, Melee combo +3, Melee dash attack +1, Effect duration +2

These Wolf Claws are great for their value, as the combination of Melee 3, Melee combo +3, and Melee dash attack +1 is pretty much as good as you’re going to get for a weapon in the mid-200s. Shaking +1 and Effect duration +2 are great additions as well, but these Wolf Claws are quite usable on their own by a good Melee player, even despite their low value. They cost 13,100 hearts to convert into a weapon, or can be ground up for 128 hearts.

Black Club — Value 204

Health +1, Shot range +1, Speed +2, Standing ch. shot +2

Today’s Black Club is a pretty interesting weapon. Ranged 2.5 is good on a low-200s weapon, and works well with Shot range +1 and Standing ch. shot +2. It is a shame, however, that Standing ch. shot is the shot modifier here, since the standing charge shot is usually the weakest charge shot. Health and Speed are great anywhere, as always. It costs 8900 hearts to convert this one into a weapon, and it can be ground up for 89 hearts.

As a reminder, tomorrow is the final day for SpotPass Daily Weapon Gem distribution. Therefore, check back tomorrow to see what we get (I’m hoping that it’s something epic, though I doubt it). Have a great weekend, everyone!

Gaol Blade — Value 209
Ranged 0.5, Melee 3.5
Overall defense +1, Freezing +2, Speed +1

Not at all bad for its low cost, this Gaol Blade makes an excellent fusion piece with its high Melee. While none of the modifiers are all that great overall, Freezing +2 is rare in terms of status conditions, and both Overall defense and Speed are great overall. If you are interested in this Gaol Blade, it costs 9700 hearts to convert into a weapon. If not, you can always fuse it with another Gem or grind it up for 96 hearts

Also, it’s worth bringing up that there are only three more days after today of Weapon Gem deliveries, so be sure to check back over the next few days, as maybe we’ll get some cool stuff!

Pudgy Palm — Value 169
Ranged 0, Melee 2.5
Status resistance +1, Stamina +3

This Pudgy Palm is decent in terms of modifiers given its low value, so it’s probably best as a fusion weapon. Melee 2.5 is good on a weak weapon, although it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense on a Palm, which tend to be focused on Ranged attacks. Additionally, Stamina +3 is a very nice modifier for any weapon, and can be nicely passed on to a larger, more effective fusion product. It costs only 4100 hearts to redeem this Pudgy Palm, or you can grind it up for 46 hearts.

Virgo Palm — Value 238

This Virgo Palm is pretty average in all respects, although there are a few bright spots. Melee 3.5 is good (though not so much on a Palm), and Dash cont. fire is always a great modifier, even if it’s just +1. All of the +2s are pretty decent as well, since Health and Speed boosts are always good. If you’re interested, it costs 15,600 hearts to convert into a weapon, or can be ground up for 149 hearts.

Leo Cannon — Value 255

Like yesterday’s Virgo Palm, the Leo Cannon is also very average in all respects, but it’s a “better” average, if that makes any sense. Ranged 3 and Melee 3 are both good, and can work either on this weapon by itself or through fusion. None of the modifiers are all that impressive, but both Speed +2 and Evasion +2 are nice. It costs 21,700 hearts to convert this Leo Cannon into a weapon, and it can be ground up for 185 hearts.

Shock Orbitars — Value 254

Paralysis +3, Forward-dash cont. fire +3, Melee dash attack +1, Recovery effect +1

This is one of the few Daily Weapon Gems that is actually usable as-is! Ranged 3 is decent on Shock Orbitars, and works really well combined with Paralysis +3 and Forward-dash cont. fire +3, both of which are very powerful on a Ranged weapon. Additionally, the high Paralysis chance means that you’ll have lots of time to hit enemies with Forward-dash shots, making your battles easier, too. Melee dash attack +1 is decent (useful in a pinch), and Recovery effect is good, too. If you’re interested in these Shock Orbitars, they will set you back 21,200 hearts. If not, you can always grind them up for 182 hearts.

Compact Arm — Value 214

Overall defense +2, Knockback defense +1, Shot homing +3

Today’s Compact Arm isn’t too bad, either. Value 214 is pretty low for something to actually use in battle (especially in Together Mode), but Overall defense +2 and Shot homing +3 are great to fuse onto other weapons. If you’re interested in using this Compact Arm, it costs 10,600 hearts to convert into a weapon, or can be ground up for 105 hearts.

Palutena Bow — Value 308

Shot cancellation +1, Power attack +2, Heart bonus +1

Now this is a REAL weapon. Ranged 5 is fantastic on a Bow, and this one happens to have two rare (and powerful) modifiers: Shot cancellation +1 and Power attack +2. Heart bonus rounds things out nicely, too. This one’s definitely usable on its own, although it’d be nicer with some other Ranged modifiers, like Dash ch. shot or Shot homing. Unfortunately, this kind of power doesn’t come cheap: the Palutena Bow can be yours for 82,000 hearts, or it can be ground up for 339 hearts.

Optical Blade — Value 100
Ranged 0, Melee 0
No modifiers.

This Optical Blade is once again a Value 100 weapon, meaning that it is the weakest a weapon can be in the game (with no further attributes of modifiers). That being said, all the Optical Blade is really good for is learning how the weapon handles. Like all Value 100 weapons, it can be converted into a weapon for 200 hearts, or ground up for 12 hearts.
